Описание: The PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair was successfully organized by the MSME Development Nucleus Cell (DNC), Kavaratti, in collaboration with the Department of Industries, U.T. of Lakshadweep, on 25th & 26th January 2026 at the Kavaratti Panchayat Stage.
✨ Event Highlights:
• Formal inauguration by G S Prakash, IEDS, Director, MSME DFO, Thrissur, who emphasized the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and the importance of traditional artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme
• Programme presided over by Perumal S, IEDS, Assistant Director, MSME DNC, Kavaratti
• Participation of 51 PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries from eight islands of Lakshadweep
• Display and sale of handicrafts, coir products, handmade brooms, and other traditional items
• Awareness & capacity-building sessions on entrepreneurship, marketing, financial literacy, MSME schemes, and cluster development
• Vibrant cultural programmes, traditional fashion show, and lucky draw with strong public response
• Valedictory function with certificate & memento distribution and Best Stall Prize
The exhibition proved to be an effective platform for market access, skill promotion, and livelihood enhancement, reinforcing the objectives of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
