Local volunteers, veterans, and 48th Fighter Wing Airmen joined the American Veterans Archaeological Recovery to recover the remains of the aircrew from a crashed B-24 Liberator at West Sussex, England, July 8, 2021. The excavation to recover the remains began on the 77th anniversary of the aircraft's crash.
