SculpSure is the newest noninvasive treatment that can permanently eliminate unlimited fat cells from the abdomen, love handles, thighs, back rolls and even the arms.  For clients who do not want to undertake liposuction surgery, noninvasive lipolysis using heat with SculpSure's is an effective way to reduce and tone specific areas of the body.  With SculpSure patients can have slimmer waistline with slimmer hips and a flatter abdomen.  As with any body contouring treatments, candidate selection is essential.
 
Is the ice age of CoolSculpting really over – how good is SculpSure?

The answer to this question is more complex than it seems.  Certainly SculpSure reduces treatment times by up to 35 minutes.  A SculpSure treatment only takes 25 minutes and uses heat to break down fat.  In our practice with our experience of only performing 3700 SculpSure and Coolsculpting patients, we do find that Coolsculpting delivers better contouring.  The ideal SculpSure candidate is someone in their late 20s to 50s with truncal adiposity.  This means that they will have had at least three or four inches of pinchable fat that cannot be shifted with sensible diet and exercise. SculpSure is hence an ideal treatment for someone who has circumferential fat areas that they would like to reduce.  It is not suited for body contouring.  Coolsculpting can provide far more effective treatments with state of the art contouring, almost to the point of etching.
 
What is the science behind SculpSure treatments for unwanted fat?

Believe it or not the inventors of Coolsculpting also have shares in SculpSure.  These scientists are extremely smart and devised both ways to treat fat, namely heat the area or cool the area.  In the context of SculpSure, diode lasers are used to heat the skin up gradually to approximately 42° C to 47° C.  The laser wavelength is 1060 which has a specific affinity for fat tissue but can also spare the upper pigmented epidermis or skin.  This laser is safe as it only targets stubborn fat areas without penetrating below this level.  In just 25 minutes your fat has been treated and over the next few months will be destroyed by your own immune system.  The best results from SculpSure are between three to four months post treatment.
 
Is SculpSure treatment painful?

No, for most patients it is a very well tolerated treatment. The post operative pain after liposuction is generally far worse!  SculpSure uses special sapphire cooling devices which are placed on the packs.  This cools the upper skin while the laser delivers heat to the lower skin.

 
How long will it take before I see a difference with my SculpSure treatment?

In most patients one can see contraction within the first few days.  This is deceiving as it is your collagen contracting and not fat cells degenerating.  Once this initial phase passes, your fat cells will go into dehydration and destruction node.  Your body's immune system will come in and carry these fat cells into the lymphatic systems where they are excreted out.  Once these fat cells are destroyed they are destroyed permanently.  This procedure will take up to three to four months for maximal results to be seen.
 
How many SculpSure treatments will I need?

A single SculpSure treatment removes approximately 25% of the fat cells in the treated area.  Depending on your goals and expectations some patients go for two or even up to three treatments depending upon the amount of fat in the area and the degree of fat reduction they desire.

Can Coolsculpting treat love handles?

Yes, Coolsculpting can markedly reduce the spare tire around your abdominal areas. With different applicator sizes, all treatments are tailored for your shape and size. Results are seen after just one session of Coolsculpting. One session of cryolipolysis can reduce up to 25% of fat- permanently.

Is Coolsculpting an alternative to liposuction?

Yes. In selected patients Coolsculpting can be an alternative to liposuction. Excellent candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas such as the abdominal area, sides of abdomen (spare tire) and the inner thigh.
