Описание: This video is a compilation of a few videos which we created while creating the floors for the Kerpiç house bedroom and the Kerpiç workshop office. This technique has been used for thousands of years and the result is quite amazing. People look at the completed floor and cannot believe that it is made from natural materials as it looks like it could be a pigmented concrete. The smell of the cow dung lasts for about 2 weeks and then after that once all the gasses have left there is no smell. The benefits of having this type of floor is that it is well insulated in cold or hot climates and the bacteria in the cow dung keeps away insects. If the floor gets damaged it is very easy to repair. Whilst finishing off the floor and applying the final thin layer of cow dung mix, I had an accident where I had removed the door to the kitchen and stood it up against the wall in the bedroom and a strong gust of wind blew the door over, which by the way is very solid and heavy. And unfortunately, I didn't see it coming towards me and the top of the door hit my hand with quite a force. Within seconds my hand swelled up to double its size and I was sure that I had crushed all the bones in my hand. I then noticed that there was quite a big impression of my knuckles in the floor and following X-rays and a CT scan the prognosis was that there were no broken bones just severe bruising, thanks to the cow dung floor which had some flexibility.
