In this video, we explore the Select by Parameter tools in the BIM-Pars Toolbox tab; a group of tools that let you select elements in your Revit model based on their parameter data.
You’ll learn how to use both tools in this group:
🔹 Select by Search for Value of Instance Parameters: Select elements whose specific instance parameter matches a specific value. You just need to enter the parameter name and the target value, and BIM-Pars will find and select all matching elements. The results show each element’s ID, Name, Parameter, and Value in the Report Tab.
🔹 Search based on Existence of Parameters Value: Apply different logic options to select elements that have a value, have no value, or both. You can also limit the search to specific categories for more control over the selection.
Both tools display the results clearly in the Report Tab, allowing you to review, filter, and export the selected data as needed.
