Subsistence Hardcore ALPHA65: Building a 500m cable car from scratch. Feel my pain!

After completing my 'mega' project on the west side of the map, I decided to connect my south lake base to my obsidian outpost. My goal is to eventually link the outpost to my main base at the springs of Snake River. After that i'll have a cable car connection from the south lake to the waterfalls of the western front!!
This video showcases the process of connecting two platforms from scratch. The distance between them is approximately 500 meters.
Placing the cable car platform high up is crucial to minimize wire sag issues. This is a common cause of the 'path is blocked' error.
Cable cars for the moment are almost useless. That's my personal honest opinion (for the moment).
