Multnomah County to cease tarp and tent distribution, redirect $600K to other services

Beginning on Tuesday, May 27, Multnomah County officials will no longer provide tarps and tents to those living outside.
According to the board chair, Jessica Vega Pederson, the new rule will allow direct distribution of tents only during severe weather and cold weather advisory events.
