TRURO NOVA SCOTIA - Day Trip with Food, Drink and a Town Park

Описание: I had a fantastic time in Truro, it is well worth a day trip!

Located in the Municipality of Colchester, Truro is only an hour from Halifax and there's enough to keep you busy for a day trip or the weekend.

Truro Brewing Company is a female owned craft brewery that opened in February and has a fantastic spot downtown with 5 beers on tap to make for the perfect flight.

The friendly staff at Jimolly's Bakery Cafe make fantastic sandwiches with gorgeous bread. If you don't ilke coffee they have a mean chai tea latte and london fog.

Salty Dog Brewing Company has more great beer options on tap for growlers and flights.

A couple doors down is The Nook and Cranny Brew Pub where I tried the Salty Dog Mango Jalapeno beer. The fish and chips were also fantastic.

And Victoria Park, which is reason enough alone to visit Truro is a gorgeous place to spend time.

And if you can go on a Saturday the Truro Farmers Market Cooperative is a great place to start. Besides produce there are lots of great local preserves, baked goods, kombucha, beer, wine, mead, cheese and more.
