BRAINWAVE - Fourge & Pals Inc. JAMUARY 2026 FLP Compilation Mix

Описание: Hello, wonderful humans of Earth! I am BRAINWAVE, and this is 2026's "JAMUARY" FLP Playthrough Compilation mix! If you were already familiar with last year's 2025 mix, none of those projects ever got finished. At all. Whatsoever. Infact, a lot of them could not be opened anymore without errors or crashes after the fact. I abandoned them, but you can still find that mix on my YouTube channel. If you are not already aware of what JAMUARY is, JAMUARY is an annual music production/recording/sound designing challenge that is hosted by my pal, "Fourge" in the Fourge & Pals Inc. Discord server! Once a year, we challenge ourselves to make something for each day (or for as many days as we can manage) of the month of January. It's a good production discipline but it can also lead to exhaustion pretty easily if you're not careful lol. Very fun challenge that doesn't have competitive energy to it, in my opinion. We all just make things, then we listen to how much progress happened at the end of each day. It's great. I even got a collab in with Fourge for this year! (Day 18.) Still no title yet. Still in rough stages. Fourge's microkorg sounds absolutely insane though.

Before the internet critiques or "roasts" this mix too hard, A lot of these projects are still in rough stages. There are 28 in total. Some seem more like demos while others seem closer to completed tracks. Some seem more compressed than others do. Some are only 20-40 seconds long, while others span 3 minutes. Some only make it to the 1 minute mark, but need their arrangements extended or expanded to be longer, while others actually sound appropriate at a shorter track length. It all just depends and it all just varies this year. Some range from having swingy triplet, melodic Glitch Hop vibes while others are darker, soundscape, washed out ambient vibes without drums. Some have vocals on them and a majority of them are just instrumental. Some are darker and some are brighter. Some have loud, up front drums, while others have quieter, pushed back drums. Some rely more on Call And Response Arrangement while others are busy and have way more going on at one time. I'm skeptical of the mixdowns and arrangements because only a day was spent for each track. Some seem rushed while others seem like more time was taken. Some seem more layered or textured while others seem like they didn't (or haven't yet) reached their full potential. You'll notice it's not perfect and there will be certain things poking out of mixes. I definitely lost a lot of sleep over the course of January, but I did do my best each day that I could lol. My best changed (and changes) from day to day, always. I'm at least proud of that much. Days 1, 2, and 9 are the only days with no project, as I took those days off. (Yep, I started this year's challenge not even participating in the first two days lol.) To say I'm tired would be an understatement. I'm pooped. I have already made lists of the FLPs that I will likely never come back to and finish, and the ones that will likely get finished assuming there are no technical complications (Like opening errors and crashes.) I have made groups of tracks that have similar vibes or energies to them and that could become their own individual "EPs" potentially. We're talking later down the line, of course. That being said, I'd like your input/feedback too. I'm stuck. Which ones do YOU feel like are actually "finished" or close to being finished, in your opinion? Your thoughts may be different from my own with this, so I need to know. Which ones do you see the most potential in or feel like they resonated with you in some way?
