Episode Summary
The aftermath of Al-Ghul's assassination leads Basim down two paths. First, a personal journey back to his origins in Anbar ("Old Wounds") to find his estranged friend Nehal, rekindling their obsession with the mysterious artifact from the Winter Palace. Second, a strategic shift at the Harbiyah Bureau ("Branching Out"), where the Hidden Ones identify a hidden leader of the Order of the Ancients in Baghdad. Basim unlocks a new tool and is tasked with pursuing three major investigations across the city's districts, dramatically widening the scope of his mission.

• Main Quest: Old Wounds:
A personal mission draws Basim back to the streets of Anbar. He returns to his old home and reunites with Nehal, who remains fixated on the artifact they stole long ago. This quest deepens Basim's backstory and opens the "Nehal Investigation" thread, setting up a crucial personal storyline.

• Main Quest: Branching Out:
Debriefing with Roshan and the Hidden Ones after Al-Ghul's death, Basim learns the Order has a hidden leader operating in Baghdad. He is granted a new tool (Smoke Bomb chosen in this playthrough) and given authority to pursue three new major investigations, each tied to a different Bureau (Sharqiyah, Karkh, Abbasiyah), marking the opening of the game's mid-phase.
