Released on 2nd of July 2015, the new DarkOrbit 3D graphics engine adds a new dimension to the game: thanks to the full integration of improved features of modern graphics cards, the game now runs smoother even with hundreds of objects on the screen,, looks better and adds more depth without changing the gameplay and mechanics.
After an extensive test session with some of our players, our producer Shawn describes the reasoning behind adding the new optional 3D engine.
