If you’re postpartum and looking to work your way up to a full plank, try these progressions!
Start with:
10 alternating bird dogs
Progress to:
4 Bear plank hold (10 second hold)
Add in:
4 reps of single leg tap outs
Final progression:
Bear plank to full plank
Remember not to progress until you can successfully complete the exercise without coning in your belly or any instability. Exhale through the entire movement to engage the deep core muscles!
