One of Chris Morris's earliest and longest running characters, Wayne Carr was a biting parody of local radio DJs, in the same vein as Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse's famous Smashie and Nicey characters.
Broadcast on Morris' Radio Bristol show 'No Known Cure' on Saturday 25th June 1989. First of two sketches broadcast that day.
Recordings of these shows are extremely scarce so if you have any, go to http://chilled.cream.org and share your goodies with a load of people who will damn well appreciate them.
Other Morris shows on GLR are scarce as well, so recordings of these are also very welcome.
