Описание: George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Brian May all played Egmond guitars at some point in their careers. Made in Holland, this Egmond solid body guitar from the middle of the 20th century was a garage sale find and was brought to me to restore to playable condition. In the first episode, I removed the neck and found it had been shimmed with a penny and a piece of steel. This may have been a modification to allow its previous owner to play slide guitar, but the current owner wanted it set up to play conventionally. In this episode, I show how I do a quick levelling and dressing of the frets, then reattach the neck, check the action, and finally verify that the electronics are working. Overall, it was a relatively quick repair on an inexpensive guitar, but the work I did will allow it to be played without difficulty.
