The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park in Aptos California - Porter Trail

I pretty much spent all Winter transitioning to barefoot style shoes. I wanted to optimize my walking form to reduce injuries and to help me hike longer distances. Hopefully I'll be able to hike into my 70s by doing all this training now.
It's been a long process to get all the pieces working together. Relearning how to walk is taking time and I still have a ways to go. My feet, legs, and hips have been feeling strong lately so wanted to try out the Xero Mesa Trail shoes.
This was my first time checking out the Porter Trail. It was nice and relaxing out in the afternoon sun. There were a couple of stream crossings but they weren't too bad. The next time I visit I'll head out in the morning and check out some trails further out.
