Crispy Air Fried Chicken Thighs. Making air-fried chicken is a simple and healthier alternative to traditional frying. To begin, keep the skin on and add oil to chicken pieces, to enhance crispness and prevent sticking. Add your choice of seasonings and/or spices. No flour or breading is needed to get the crispy crunch of pan fried chicken. Preheat the air fryer to around 375°F (190°C), then place the chicken in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). The result is crispy, juicy chicken with less oil and fewer calories.
