In the German language, we use many, many English words, however, these English words are mostly Germanised. For example, we use German grammar with English verbs (downloaden). Most of the words, however, take on a whole new meaning, such as "das Homeoffice" (working from home, e.g. during lockdown), or "Public Viewing", which describes an event where, for example, a football match is shown on a big screen in public to a large audience. Today I'm going to show you 10 more of these English words Germans use wrongly and most of them probably wouldn't make much sense in English. Viel Spaß!

In the classroom we are told to endlessly study grammar and memorise concepts, however, research shows that language is acquired through authentic experiences. The concept of Natürlich German is based on Dr. Stephen Krashen's second language acquisition theory, in which one uses comprehensible input to acquire a language, rather than 'learn' it.
