There are different opinions on shark feeding. On one hand, feeding wild animals changes their behavior. There were cases when sharks used to hand-feeding bit some divers expecting some food.
On the other hand, movies like Jaws made many uninformed people believe that sharks are just vicious man-eaters that have nothing better to do than to kill any human in their proximity. When tourists (non divers) see this, they might change their opinion a little bit. Sharks can be fascinating.
