غزل ـ رياض تسنيم
عجبه حېراني ده، عجب غلي يو ، جانانه
چا داسې آئينو ته ودرولي يو، جانانه
نور دا د قسمتونو ستوري ښۀ راته معلوم دي
دا ډېره ده، چې خيال کې دې راغلي يو جانانه
دې خاورو او ګردونو کې هم سحر غوړېږو
ګلاب يو او چا لاره کې کرلي يو جانانه
تسنيمه! حُسن واړه مو د زړۀ دننه وليد
په خدائے که کوهِ قاف ته پسې تلي يو جانانه
What a strange bewilderment—so silent, so withdrawn, beloved,
As if someone has stood us before enchanted mirrors, beloved.
I know well now the stars of fate and what they foretell,
But this much is enough—that I appeared in your thoughts, beloved.
Even in dust and ashes, we bloom with morning light,
We are roses that someone has planted by the roadside, beloved.
Tasneem! All beauty we have seen within the heart,
By God, we never chased the mountain of Qaf*, beloved.
• The “mountain of Qaf” is a mythical mountain in Persian and Sufi literature, often symbolizing unattainable beauty or spiritual quest.)
