We’ve just come back from a 4-day route testing trip to the Vosges Mountains in Eastern France – and honestly, this place blew us away.
Basing ourselves in the medieval town of Colmar, right in the heart of Alsace, we spent 2 days riding 373 miles and climbing 33,521 vertical feet. And here’s the thing: this is without doubt the closest proper mountain riding to the UK.
The Ardennes is great. The Eifel Mountains are great. But the Vosges? They’re on a completely different level. One moment you feel like you’re in Spain, then Italy, then the Alps – all on the same ride.
