After several years of attending arch rallies sponsored by the Natural Arch and Bridge Society by himself, Bob Robinson was finally joined by his twin brother Rick Robinson for the 2024 Fall Arch Rally. The first three days of this rally were held at the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, California. After the fourth day for travel, the next four days were at Joshua Tree National Park, California.
On the first day of hikes at Joshua Tree, Rick and Bob went on different hikes. This video is about Rick's hike to see Garrett's Arch in the backcountry of Joshua Tree NP. The arch turned out to be high on a ridge. Its lintel, the rock that encloses the opening, was very thick. Rick and the group he was with had lunch where they could admire the arch before looping back to their starting point at Barker Dam parking area.
