This beautifully restored single‑deck “Red Rattler” is the only operational example of its kind in the world, and the carriage we travelled in led the first electric passenger train to cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge during its opening ceremony. Built at Clyde Engineering and launched in 1926, Set F1 represents the beginning of modern suburban rail travel in Sydney.
