-The Shaniwar Wada fort in Pune, constructed by Peshwa Bajirao I, as the abode of the Peshwas. It served as the loving home of Bajirao I and Kashi and is also significant for the valuable cultural.
The magnificent fortification which was planned to be entirely built in stone was objected by the people on the grounds that only kings had the authority to build stone palaces. Thus, six out of seven floors were built with bricks and only the ground floor comprised stones. The six floors were destroyed by the British empire about ninety years later and the enchanting palace had only the base floor remaining to reminisce of the memorable past.


-The Lal Mahal (Red Palace) of Pune is one of the most famous monuments located in Pune, India. In the year 1630 AD, Shivaji's Father Shahaji Raje Bhosale, established the Lal Mahal for his wife Jijabai and son.

-The Pataleshwar Cave Temple is a rock-cut cave temple, located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The temple is said to resemble the temple at the Elephanta Caves and the Kailasa Temple in the Ellora Caves. Built in the 8th century during the Rashtrakuta period, the temple is still in use today and draws a lot of visitors.

-Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple in Pune is dedicated to the Hindu God Ganesh. The temple is popular in Maharashtra and is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year. Devotees of the temple include celebrities and Chief Ministers of Maharashtra who visit during the annual ten-day Ganeshotsav festival. The main Ganesh idol is insured for sum of 10 million.
Dagadusheth Halwai (Dagadusheth Gadve) was Lingayat trader and Sweet maker (Halwai in Marathi). He originally came from Karnataka and settled in Pune. After he gained fame as a Halwai, that became his surname. His original Halwai shop still exists under the name Kaka Halwai near Datta Mandir in Pune.
