Do you know why I speak Chinglish? Well, it is a long story but I will make it short. About two million years ago... just kidding.

In the book of Genesis 11: 3-7, it goes:

" They said to each other, "Come, let's make bricks. Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; 5 But God came down to see the city and the tower said, "If as one people speaking the same language then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

Now let's talk about one Chinese character "tower" in Chinese and English: Chinglish:

This character has 5 parts. The first part is dirt. The second part is "grass" or weeds. The third part is all people are united to do the same thing. Unity or united.

Why did God want to knock down the tower of Babel? Why did God want to confuse us with different languages? God is almighty and all powerful, but why was God so afraid of the tower of Babel?

Was it the building of National Security Agency? Were the people in the tower able to spy on everyone on the earth?
