Описание: here i will add from an earlier write up i did on the great man regarding his song 'san francisco bay blues' which i think sums him up rather nicely... ~ before the eruption of the mid-sixties music explosion that hit san francisco jesse fuller was peddling his wonderful blues songs around the bay area...a long time oakland resident jesse was also a street performer & rail road worker and had infact started recording in 1955 and its there that this song was first recorded...from then on it seemed every label he recorded for would have another version of what was now a classic blues tune...this version comes from his '63 album 'san francisco bay blues' goodtime jazz label...the first version came on a local label 'world song' based in el cerrito... jesse would only have the track once on single 'san francisco bay blues/jesse's new midnight special' 'goodtime jazz label' 1965...he was the complete 'one man band' as he had developed a 'contraption' that he called 'the fotdella' where he would be able to play bass drum/12string guitar/harmonica/kazoo/hi-hat and washboard with his right foot tapping out the beat he would later be known & billed as 'the amazing one man band'....many recorded his songs including the grateful dead featuring 'beat it on down the line' on their debut album....his vast repetoire included old work songs/hymns/gospel/spirituals/ragtime/pop & blues and as you can see from the poster i have included he was sharing stages with the new bands as well...much loved and respected he sadly passed away aged 80 in oakland 1976...we couldn't have asked for a better & more apt song than this for the channel could we?...this documentary shows jesse playing his last public performance may 7th 1971 at oaklands museum's cowell hall....sadly he passed away in '76 aged 80 of heart disease....
