Описание: By the early 1980s, rising drug prices were getting to crisis levels in the US. Innovator drug companies were actively resisting generic versions even after their patents expired. All that changed in 1984 when the US Congress passed the “Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act”, informally known as the Hatch-Waxman Act. The act opened the flood gates of generic drugs into the US market. This video explores the genesis of the act, and the statistics which demonstrate its impact.
