The Tetelia-Byrnihat-Shillong railway project is a proposed railway line in Meghalaya, India. The project is divided into two phases:

Phase 1: The Tetelia-Byrnihat railway line is a 22-kilometer (14 mi) long line that will connect Tetelia in Assam to Byrnihat in Meghalaya. The line will have two stations: Kamalajari in Assam and Byrnihat in Meghalaya. The project is currently stalled due to opposition from some pressure groups who want a foolproof mechanism to check the influx of illegal immigrants.
Phase 2: The Byrnihat-Shillong railway line is a 108-kilometer (67 mi) long line that will connect Byrnihat to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. The line will have 10 stations: Byrnihat, Sohkwai, Lailad, Umsong, Umar, Nongsder, Kyrdemkulai, Umroi, Umpling, and New Shillong. The line will also have 31 tunnels, covering a total length of 39.06 kilometers (24.28 mi). The longest tunnel is proposed to be 4.14 kilometers (2.57 mi) long.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be around ₹4,000 crores (US$530 million). The project is expected to be completed in 2030.
