A wild #SunBear climbs a tree and digs into the tree trunk to harvest bee hive and honey.

They eat a wide range of food in the forest including fruits, insects, invertebrates, small animals and honey.

Sun Bear locally known as “Beruang Madu” (in Malay) or honey bears, Sun Bears love eating honey.

The availability of honey in the wild is very rare. Therefore finding and digging for honey in the wild is a special treat for Sun Bears.

They have a keen sense of smell for locating honeybee nests inside trees and will use their long claws and teeth to reach a nest for this tasty treat.
