South London's biggest fireworks display is back for 2022. At nearly 25 minutes long and synced to music, it's one of the best displays in the city. The atmosphere was great and there was a real mixture of people in attendance.
Last year we arrived too late and had to watch from the bridge so I'm super happy I got to see them up close this time. It was a really great experience. I'm also staggered by just how well the GH5 handled it!
The event is organized by Wandsworth Borough Council and Enable, a not-for-profit organization that invests the profits back into the community. The first 30 seconds are missing as someone stood in front of me and put their kid on their shoulders - which is obviously fine, but not conducive to a particularly good view - so I had to awkwardly move the tripod and set up again elsewhere.
