Droplet Measurement in Sprays with TSTOF
In this video, you can see how ParticleTensorAI®, based on the Time-Shift Time-of-Flight (TSTOF) method [1, 2], is used to characterize droplets in sprays.
Using a single-sided optical setup, the system illuminates droplets in the backscatter region and captures their light-scattering signals with specialized camera systems optimized to detect the subtle, time-shifted scattering patterns produced by individual droplets moving through a shaped laser beam.
These recorded signals are then analyzed to determine droplet size and velocity, even in environments with limited optical access and space.
