This episode didn’t quite go to plan. What started as a simple issue with the diesel heater pulling fuel from the main fuel line quickly turned into one of those classic vanlife domino effects. Air bubbles made their way into the system, things stopped working as they should… and then the battery decided it had had enough too.

Instead of heading off to explore, we found ourselves troubleshooting, problem-solving, and figuring out what to tackle first — all part of life on the road. It’s one of those days where you’re reminded that vanlife isn’t always about the views and destinations, but about dealing with the unexpected when your home is also your vehicle.

Not our smoothest day, but a very real one. This is vanlife
