What happens if you buy a condo or a townhome in Vancouver, and the strata corporation votes in age restrictions? How about if the rules and bylaws are changed to affect the livability of your home?

A local Vancouver area couple who purchased a townhome in Maple Ridge in December, were told by a member of their strata corporation that they would be forced to sell as they are expecting a child, which would contravene a newly imposed age restriction in their complex.

In this video, I cover how BC strata corporation bylaws are amended and created, and how you can protect yourself as a condo or townhome buyer from situations like the one this couple is now in.
