According to foreign media, seven members of two families from Karachi were killed in a fire that broke out in Chester, Alberta on Friday morning.
According to media reports, two of the dead have been identified as Amjad Kamal and Rafia Rashid, while the others include a woman and four children. Five people, including four children, were safe in the incident.
Canadian officials say survivors of the blaze have been taken to hospital and an investigation is under way.
