*Disclaimer: The potting mix recipe shown in this video contains Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Control ingredient registered by the Environmental Protection Agency. The application rate shown in this video follows the product label application rate: 2.5 tablespoons per 1 gallon of potting mix, for containerized plants only. The plants are grown in controlled enclosed residential environment excluding outdoor exposure. Product label: “This product is absorbed by roots and moves through the entire plant. New growth is protected against insects for up to 8 weeks.” The label instructs to work granules into top 1 to 2 inches of soil. Because the container height used to grow plants approximates 2-3 inches, the 2.5 tablespoons of the ingredient are mixed directly into the gallon of the potting mix to facilitate the application method recommended on the label.
