Описание: The stationary perturbation theory is concerned with finding the changes in the energy levels and eigenfunctions of a system when small disturbance is applied. In such cases the Hamiltonian is broken up into two parts. One part is large and it represents the simple system for which the Schrodinger’ equation can be solved exactly. The other part is small and can be treated as perturbation term. This additional part of Hamiltonian may be constant or a function of space or both space and momentum coordinates. In this video you will find how to calculate the first order and second order correction in energy eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions.
