The Nevada Hispanic Legislative Caucus will partner with Gonzalez and Flores Law Firm to provide pro bono assistance with immigration bond redetermination hearings. The law firm will provide assistance for the month of April following Governor Sisolak’s essential business directive.
Edgar Flores, Chair of the Nevada Hispanic Legislative Caucus, said, “Given the COVID-19 crisis, many people are not working and loved ones should not remain in ICE custody simply because their families are unable to pay for counsel. During this pandemic the safest thing for everyone is that they remain in their homes. The NHLC COVID-19 Task Force recognizes that immigrant communities face many challenges and are often our most vulnerable and underrepresented community with limited access to resources. ”
