When I took this trip, I was expecting a nice, scenic ride out of Cork across to Mallow and then up to Tralee. But I discovered more - much more. Tucked away amongst the rolling hills and quiet villages of West Ireland is......

Well I won't spoil it for you here but I bet you never knew about it! I certainly didn't!

Come with me on this trip and I'll show you all the sights, I'll tell you about the stations en route and the history associated with some of the towns and villages along the way. We'll havea brief look at the train, although it's one I've travelled on many times in the past. Importantly, I'll tell you how much it costs and for a change, I'll show you the booking process using the ticket office at Cork Kent Railway Station.
