This Sunday at The Bay Church, we were blessed to hear a special message from Brad Collins titled “Into The Forge.” While Pastor was away in Colorado with family, Brad encouraged us from Zechariah 13:9 and Psalm 66:10–12, showing how God uses refining seasons—like fire in a forge—to purify our faith, shape our character, and draw us closer to Him.

Using the powerful picture of a bladesmith and the refining process of precious metals, this message reminds us:

Trials are not random—God is at work even when life feels hot, heavy, and disruptive.

God knows exactly how much heat to apply—enough to refine us, not to break us.

Refining may be painful, but it produces something stronger, purer, and more faithful.

God is present in our hardship—our grief, financial pressure, and heartache—and He walks with us through it.

The ultimate purpose of the “forge” is to bring us back into a closer relationship with God.

If you’re in a season of testing—fire, water, pressure, or loss—this sermon is a reminder that God is not absent. He is refining, strengthening, and lovingly shaping you for His purposes.
