Actress Ranya Rao has been remanded to three days in DRI custody after being arrested at Bengaluru airport for allegedly smuggling 14.2 kg of gold from Dubai. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence is investigating the source and intended recipients of the gold, suspecting possible links to illegal activities. Officials revealed that Rao had traveled to Dubai 27 times in six months, raising concerns. Gold worth Rs 12.56 crore was seized, along with assets worth Rs 4.73 crore. Authorities are probing whether she previously smuggled gold. The case marks one of the biggest gold seizures at the airport.
