Round 1: start in front of tv, round ends when you get Boulder Badge
Round 2: Start outside Pewter PokeCenter, collect a fossil, round ends upon beating Rival in Cerulean
Round 3: Start outside Cerulean PokeCenter, Nugget Bridge, get S.S. Ticket, get Cascade Badge, round ends when getting bike voucher in Vermillion
Round 4: Get HM01 from S.S. Anne, get Thunder Badge, get HM05 from Route 2 (needs Pokédex of 10), round ends when entering Route 10 PokeCenter
Round 5: Start outside Route 10 PokeCenter, Rock Tunnel, round ends when you get the Rainbow Badge
Round 6: Start outside Celadon PokeCenter, Rocket Game Corner + Silph Scope, Lavender Tower, round ends when you collect the Poke Flute from Mr Fuji
Round 7: Start outside Lavender PokeCenter, defeat/catch Snorlax on Route 16 (west of Celadon), victory upon collecting the Soul Badge

Set text to fast, battle animations off and withdraw the potion from the PC before Round 1
Between rounds, everyone is able to heal, buy items and teach moves, just no progress towards next goals - e.g. do not leave the city, do not catch/obtain any Pokémon within the city
You must defeat all trainers in a gym before the leader, otherwise optional battles are to your discretion and/or peril
Do not enter Saffron City
