I received a call from @BMSculptures to discuss designing and building a custom pedestal for his swan sculpture. There was no way I would turn down an opportunity like that and after a consultation with his client, it was clear that this was not going to be some "weekend" pedestal.
The client is a collector of "Prairie & Mission" furniture. With pieces in his home from the famed furniture designer Gustav Stickley. After seeing some photos of the pieces in the house, the amazing design and architecture, I knew this was going to a special piece to create.
This piece, is my vision of what Gustav might have made.
