Iranian government ‘playing catchup’ as they lose Strait of Hormuz strategic leverage

“I do believe right now they're trying to at least come up with some sort of insurance policy, some sort of backup plan in case that does fall on their shoulders to maintain the opening of the waterways.

“So if there's any sort of maritime chokeholds that affect their economies, they can then have some sort of backup plan.”
