Описание: I just finished this book (An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States), and it honestly overpowers you with how bad Native Americans were treated, abused, and killed. As both a Native American and a Latter-day Saint, I feel a responsibility to address the dark history and the "peaceful Saints" narrative that often leaves out the Native side, especially here in Utah. We need to separate the solid, core truths of our faith from flawed people and history, acknowledging that while we aren't responsible for our ancestors' actions, we are responsible for the society we live in today. By looking at the Book of Mormon through a different lens and learning from the tragedies of the past, we can move toward a truer version of Zion that is about caring for the pure in heart rather than just claiming land.
