UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay declared that she has enough evidence which shows that the "highest level of government" is also responsible for Syria's civil war crimes, thus directly implicating Assad, President of Syria. However, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad just dismissed her remark as a "nonsense talk" and refused to listen to Pillay.
