Today I’m sharing a South Indian–style Besan Chutney recipe, a perfect and tasty combination for soft idlis.
This chutney is very easy to make, healthy, and full of flavor using simple ingredients available at home.
🥣 Ingredients Used:
• Onion
• Tomato
• Green chilli
• Ginger (small piece)
• Water
• Salt (as needed)
• Turmeric powder
• Besan (gram flour)
• Chilli powder
• Lemon juice (few drops)
• Coriander leaves
🍳 Method:
1. Add onions, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger, water, salt, and turmeric to a pan.
2. Boil well until vegetables are soft.
3. Mix besan with water separately without lumps and add it to the boiling mixture.
4. Cook well until the chutney thickens.
5. Add chilli powder and boil for a few more minutes.
6. Switch off the flame, add a few drops of lemon juice, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with idli for a delicious South Indian breakfast or dinner.
