Today @StriketheSunMD and I talk about a movie that focuses on gang struggles in Rio de Janeiro. Lund and Meirelles present a movie that highlights Lil Ze's rise to power through the eyes of Rocket. Ze's friend Benny manages to keep things calm, but a full gang war breaks out after Benny dies. Lucas and I enjoyed the use of religious symbolism as well as the soft focus on corrupt systems, but the overuse of flashbacks dragged the story down. Still, it's worth checking out!
