Thousands of devotees from all over India and abroad throng this pious place every day to pay their obeisance and seek blessings of Goddess Padmavathi who is revered by people in every part of the globe. The story of establishment of this sacred and heavenly destination is astonishing and full of miracles. In this town of Krishnagiri, a boy named Vasant Kumar was born in a Rajasthani family. He had to face numerous tragedies in his childhood. His elder brother, elder sister and younger sister passed away in unexplainable circumstances, he lost his mother at a young age and his father lost his leg in an unfortunate accident. These heart-wrenching events developed a detachment from the material world deep inside him and also created a strong belief in the principle of karma right from his childhood days. What is the reason for happiness and suffering of the people, what effect do good deeds and bad deeds have on one’s life, who is the creator of this universe…such questions would always reverberate in his mind.
