I am currently a police officer in Southern California and do these videos for educational purposes. My mission with BBU is to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. Part of doing this is through education with videos like this.
On Switched we have police officers and civilians trade places. We put civilians in the police officer's shoes and have them run through scenarios and break them down after.
