Hey everyone !
This track, inspired by the legendary Gerudo Valley theme from Ocarina of Time, was incredibly exciting to produce! I’ve gotta admit, I’ve always had a soft spot for music with Middle Eastern vibes mixed with Asian and African influences like India and Iran. I had an absolute blast using instruments like the iconic duduk, the qanun, and the sarangi, they really bring out those Middle Eastern colors.
I hope you enjoy the version I created ! I know it’s quite different from what you usually hear in Gerudo Valley remixes. Guitars and trumpets are often used to give that Spanish/Andalusian feel to the original masterpiece, but I wanted to take it in another direction. My inspirations came partly from the Molduga battle theme with its fiery cellos, and also from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag with its dark, badass energy.
Since the Gerudo are powerful warrior women living in a near-impenetrable fortress, I really wanted the music to highlight that strength and atmosphere.
