GameCube Hot Clips Trailer (Master Quest Bonus Disc)

Описание: This is a capture of the GameCube Hot Clips trailer from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest for the GameCube. The Master Quest was released in 2003 as a free bonus for pre-ordering Wind Waker and included several trailers for different games.

Here's some higher quality footage of the various game trailers that were included in the Master Quest bonus disc under the "movies" section. Although the Master Quest supports progressive scan mode (480p), the trailers only display in an interlaced mode (480i).

When the GameCube switches between an interlaced and progressive display format, the Hauppauge takes a few seconds to detect the signal change, resulting in a blue screen instead of whatever is actually on screen. You can see this in my various Game Boy and GameCube uploads. Since I enabled progressive scan mode in my prior uploads, this caused the game trailers to cut out for the first few seconds during the GameCube logo intro.

To fix this problem and display the entire trailers with their full intros, I simply disabled progressive scan mode and left the game in interlaced mode. I then deinterlaced the footage afterward in Virtualdub, which I would have needed to do anyway.
